Battery disposal regulation
Batteries contain valuable raw materials, which are harmful to the environment, but can be recycled. Waste batteries must therefore not be disposed of in the normal domestic waste, but must be disposed of separately. For traders there is the legal obligation to take back old batteries, consumers are obliged to take old batteries to an appropriate collection point
Disposal batteries are indicated on the crossed-out waste bin, which is printed on the packaging. The chemical name of the pollutant is located underneath the refuse bin symbol:
Pb = lead
Cd = cadmium
Hg = mercury
Of course, you can return the batteries purchased from us to us for proper disposal. Please send a sufficiently stamped package with the keyword "battery disposal" to:

Note on waste disposal:
SatKing GmbH takes its obligation from the ElektroG very seriously.
According to the Act on the placing on the market, the withdrawal and the environmentally acceptable disposal of electrical and electronic equipment (ElektroG), we have to inform the private households about the handling of electrical and electronic equipment:
The Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act (ElektroG) contains a variety of requirements for the handling of electrical and electronic equipment. The most important ones are compiled here for you.
1. Separate collection of old equipment
Waste electrical and electronic equipment is referred to as waste. Owners of old equipment have to pass these on to a separate separation from the unsorted settlement waste. Waste equipment does not belong in particular to household refuse, but into special collection and return systems.
2. Batteries and accumulators
Owners of old devices have to separate old batteries and accumulators, which are not enclosed by the old equipment, in a standard case before handing it at a detection point. This does not apply in so far as the equipment is disposed of with public waste disposal authorities and is separated there for the purpose of preparing for the reuse of other waste equipment.
3. Possibilities of returning old equipment
Owners of old appliances from private households can hand them over to collection points of the public waste disposal authorities or to the return points set up by manufacturers or distributors as defined by the ElektroG.
4. Privacy Notice
Old devices often contain sensitive personal data. This applies, in particular, to information and telecommunication equipment, such as computers and smartphones. In your own interest, please note that every end user is responsible for the deletion of the data on the old devices to be disposed of.
5. Meaning of the symbol "swept garbage can"
The symbol of a crossed-out wheeled bin, regularly shown on the electrical and electronic equipment indicates that at the end of its service life the device must be recorded separately from the unsorted municipal waste.
What does that mean for you?
Waste electrical appliances (EAG), which you no longer wish to use, must be disposed of in an environmentally sound manner. The electrical appliance must be supplied with a separate separation from the unsorted municipal waste and old batteries and old accumulators must be separated from the electrical appliance if these are not enclosed by the electrical appliance and if the electrical appliance can not be separated according to § 14 para. 5 p. 2 and 3 ElektroG prepare for re-use.
